CN equaling China could be (and likely is) the case ; but CN could also be the registered trademark of a US manufacturer.
USA law requires that if you mark an item 925 you must also put your trademark on it. If the CN mark does equal China then the ring does not meet USA marking requirements. There are many jewelry makers in China. We need to know who made it.
If subject ring was marked 925 YIBI we would know that its markings say that it was made by the employer company of the person who answered previously.
There are many reputable and high quality jewelry makers in China and throughout Asia. However with the success of marketplaces like eBay and Amazon, there is an increasing problem with items produced and shipped from these lands that are not what they are claimed to be.
I have personally encountered items marked 925 that were silver plated stainless steel. This type fraud is usually easy to spot. In the case of a ring, suspend it using a piece of sewing thread.
