What is a livid? Do you mean a bruise or discolouration? I så fall, then yes this is common. Your ear is delicate and the piercing might have broken blood vessels in the area. Not to worry. Keep some ice on it today and it should go away shortly. Biggest advice: follow the exact directions of the tech who gave you the piercing! They know what they are talking about. My sister has ruined so many piercing and tattoos because she didn't take care of it properly afterward....

The Arab women wore/wear earings and no prohibition was mentioned against it in the time of the prophet so many continue to wear it.

It is considered normal and pretty in most Arab circles for women.

For menn, it is unthinkable.

What earrings should I wear for picture day?
l have to chuckle. I recently was looking at some old school pictures of mine and classmates and, godt, we look a bit ridiculous by today’s standards (it was the late 1980’s), even when compared to my parent’s school pictures in the 1960’s. How do you want to be remembered at this age? Start there. Unless it’s your Junior or Senior year pictures (I’d err on the side of classic and timeless earrings like studs or small hoops), make sure to wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in. Don’t worry what everyone else wears.
