How skinny are thin band engagement rings? Thin band engagement rings range from 1.5-2.0 mm in width. Some rings may look thinner than others even though they measure the same in width. Rings with a knife edge appear thinner, or more narrow, than flat edge or rounded edge engagement rings. This happens because your eye is drawn to the thinnest point on the ring.
