I think you are reading the number backwards. Should be read as 925. That’s the amount of silver in the the total alloy, in other words 92.5% stříbro. Commonly called Sterling silver. American coin silver pre 1964 je 900 fine as an example.

The stamp China is because some countries or some clients need also the stamp of the country of provenance of the jewelry
