④ Observe close to the light source. The transparency of real pearls is often better than that of fake pearls, and it reflects the feeling of moisture; fake pearls have a rough and dry feeling.

(2) Sensation: It is a method of feeling through organs such as hands and tongue. Real pearls produce a kind of coolness by hand. Rub lightly with your hands or rub lightly with the edge of your teeth. Those who feel smooth are artificial beads, and those with uneven texture or sandy feel are real pearls.

(3) Magnifying glass observation method: Observing with a magnifying glass of 10 times, the growth texture can be seen on the surface of natural beads or cultured beads. Artificial beads can only observe eggshell-like coatings, and the coating particles are uniform in size and not very smooth.

(4) Ultraviolet fluorescence method: Natural beads and cultured beads will produce fluorescence (light yellow, pale white) under ultraviolet light, which is caused by the protein in the bead layer. Under normal circumstances, artificial beads do not produce fluorescence.

(5) Hydrochloric acid reaction method: This method must pay attention to two principles, one is low concentration, generally <1%; second, the dosage is small, the diameter of hydrochloric acid beads should be less than 1mm, natural beads or cultured beads will be immediately in hydrochloric acid Foaming, producing carbon dioxide; while general artificial beads have no obvious reaction, because this method is destructive, this method should be avoided as much as possible.
