Practice is the only way! It can be frustrating I know. Just relax and take your time.

Pro tip: I suggest you learn to do away with the mirror. There won’t always be a mirror around when you need one.

What works for me is to pull my earlobe down slightly with one hand; this stretches the hole a little. With the other hand I gently rake the earring post along my earlobe from top to bottom (about where I think it should bethis is the part that gets more accurate with practice) until it catches in the hole. Now you know where it is! Then you need to find just the right angle to push it through. Keep pulling with the other hand.

If you want to do it with a mirror, get your sister to mark the spot with a washable marker, then practice learning to find that spot by feeling.

How do I prevent ear lobe swelling after putting in earrings?
Try wetting the piercings (ideally with your cleaning solution). This way the wetness will act as a lubricant that will allow the earrings to easily slide through the piercings. Make sure you’re cleaning them well and are only wearing high-quality earrings while they are healing. If they start to swell, don’t worry. This is normal for healing piercings. Take an ibuprofen; it’ll help the swelling go down. Try not to play with your earrings, either, as this will irritate the piercings.
Why do earrings itch after putting in if you haven’t worn earrings for awhile? And then after a few days they don’t itch and have no issues. Piercings that are fully healed and old?
The only time my piercings itch from jewelry is when I have an allergy to the material. Usually it would steadily get more bothersome. It would get red and sting until I give up and take them out. Why you’re piercings itch and then just stop? I have no idea. I can only think of two possibilities. The little hairs on your ears are being tickled by an object, there’s something making incremental movements on your skin throughout the day, causing the area to itch. That would be a pretty small amount of itching I would think but the foreign sensation might just trigger enough of a reaction for you to notice it. Then as you get used to wearing them the sensation becomes normalized and ignored. Another possibility is that when you don’t wear earrings for an extended amount of time, your piercing holes start healing. It would take a good while for them to actually close but it’s not impossible for an old piercing to do so. Every time you then put earrings back in you’re slightly irritating the area. Unless it’s a very annoying amount of itching or other symptoms follow, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
