How do you make jewelry 925 earring?
It is a very long, difficult learning process.
You can easily make a necklace, a pair of earrings, a bracelet, even a ring with the right tools. I’d suggest starting out with basic supplies: memory wire, crimps, lobster claws, needle-nose pliers, seed beads of varying sizes and colors, and jump rings. I find earrings to be easiest, although every jewelry maker has their niche. I started on necklaces, basic threading.
But how do I make jewelry, you ask? I don’t even look anymore. My hands just move.
The first year, they bled daily.
The second year, they developed calluses but still unsteadily went through the motions.
The third year, they grew steadier.
I am now on my thirteenth year since I made my first necklace. When I lay my hands on my pliers, they seem warm to me. Like they’re welcoming me home. My fingers have grown around them, always a perfect fit. The muscles in my hands literally have indentations most people’s don’t from tightly gripping my tools every day for thirteen years as I grew. My fingers move over my jewelry box like a pianist over a piano, with familiarity and a confidence most do not possess around such instruments. And then, when I begin… I don’t look anymore. Loop the wire. Squeeze the crimp. Thread the bead. Check the clasp before placing on the chain. It’s a dance, my own little symphony. I control every part of it, every moving piece. And I know it like I know myself. The motions are as second nature as breathing to me.
