Ce face 925 Ștampilat pe aur?

A stamp saying 925 in Gold would ideally mean that the Gold you have is 22.2 Karat pure or 92.5% Pure with 7.5% of impurities. But, we do not have 925 Gold in the market, instead we have 925 Silver in the market which is also known as Sterling Silver.
You can have gold, rose gold and other shades of Gold with 925 mark on them, but that doesn’t mean it’s made of 925 aur. It simply means that the base metal is 925 Silver and the rest is just polish.
If it was Gold then you could see something like 916 (22 Karat Gold), 995 (24 Karat Gold), 999 (24 Karat Gold) and so on. In most of the countries jewellery is sold with hallmarks or marks indicating not only purity but other details as well such metal type, where it was tested and marked. Check the image below, it’s a silver bar I own which has 990 Silver marking.
