The back of the ring has gotten a bit scratched up and the metal is not as shiny anymore, but you can’t really prevent it and the front is what really matters anyway. I’ve worn it while washing my hands and putting on hand sanitizer. I do try to take it off when I put lotion on. The stones shine and sparkle so much! I used a mini microscope meant for gems and could see the tiny Swarovski CZ laser engraving on every stone including the little ones. Bits of dirt and dust do get trapped under the main stone but I just wash it off with a small makeup brush. It’s amazing quality and super affordable so I don’t have to worry about messing up or losing a super expensive engagement ring
