In the market, we often hear “Una mercancía”, “B bienes”, “C Bienes”, o “A grade” jade, “B grade” jade, “C grade” jade and so on. De hecho, this is not a classification of the quality of jadeite, but a common name that indicates whether the jadeite has been manually optimized.

A cargo

A cargo refers to natural jade that has not undergone any artificial treatment (except for polishing). Natural jadeite generally has a strong luster, and the color, structure and transparency will not change during wearing and storage. After a long time, it still looks radiant. It is particularly important to point out the heat treatment in order to transform the yellow, marrón, and brown in the jade into bright red; the dipping wax in order to cover the cracks of the natural jade and increase the transparency; and to remove the black and black in the jade. Gray, marrón, yellow and other variegated colors, while bleaching is an optimized method that is widely accepted by people. Jadeite that has been heat-treated, waxed or bleached can still be regarded as A jadeite.

Goods B

Cargo B refers to jade that has been bleached with strong acid and then filled with organic polymers such as synthetic resin and plastic, eso es, bleached and filled jade. There are often net-like trenches on the surface, and organic glue can be seen on magnification. Due to the presence of organic glue, the refractive index and density of B jadeite are slightly lower than those of A jadeite, and blue-white fluorescence can often be seen under ultraviolet light. The impact of the B jade bracelet is dull, while the impact of the A jade bracelet is more crisp. Due to the presence of organic glue in cargo B, infrared spectroscopy can be used in the laboratory to clearly identify it.

Since the structure of the B jade is filled with organic glue after the structure is destroyed, it will become rougher after a period of wearing, and the transparency and gloss will become worse. The organic glue in it will turn yellow after a period of sunlight and heat, so that the overall B jadeite appears yellow.

Cargo C refers to jadeite that has been dyed, which is simply the most obvious jadeite that has been artificially processed.
