The chain is just simple but I haven’t had any problems with it so far. The hole in the pendant for the chain to go through is about 1/4″ x 1/8″ so there is plenty of room if you wanted to switch it out for a thicker chain. Recently took a girls trip to the beach and i have ordered the flip flop necklace for them, but i wanted some thing a little different for me. I fell in love with this star fish and is is so pretty.
