Whether or not you wear earrings is utterly trivial. Why do you think it would matter to Jesus?

And that, actually, is a good question.

What does Jesus want from us? Sacrifice? Wait, no, there was that Saul incident when he brought back sacrifices contrary to orders. Obedience? Perhaps, but not a bunch of mindless drones, because he moved away from laws of performances and ordinances to a law focused on the heart. Okay, so Jesus wants our hearts. What does that mean?

Jesus wants us to want what He wants. He wants us to want it for the same reason he wants it: we know he loves us (each of us, all of us), so he wants us to love ourselves and to love each other.

For first an foremost, Jesus doesn’t want us to value ourselves based on our appearance. So he doesn’t want us to feel bad because we have 3 sets of earrings, a nose ring, eller 56 square inches of tattoos. He’ll accept us how we are and love us anyway.

So here is how I would answer your question- if you already have earrings, they aren’t going to keep Jesus from loving you. So as long as they aren’t some sort of symbol or rebellion, gratification of pride, or other symptom of a dangerous spiritual malady, then they are just earrings and won’t affect the feelings you have toward other people, which is what matters most to Jesus.

If you don’t have them, Jesus isn’t going to stop loving you because you get them. But ask yourself if having earrings will help you be more like Jesus. If you want them simply to have a simple adornment to accent your natural appearance, then great- get them and enjoy them. If you want them to distract from yourself, to express your desire to not be told what to do, osv., then I would encourage you to avoid them.
