What do you mean in which ear should a straight guy wear an earring? You should wear an earring in both ears, like all girls and women have and nowadays all of the men do! That’s today’s fashion! Or you love it to look like you’ve arrived in a time machine from the eighties. Because that’s what men look like when they wear just one earring.
For example my husband. He always wears two earrings, each in one ear. He never had one earring. That’s because I don like it and he either. So when we decided that he should wear earrings, he directly pierced both of his ears.
Since that time he never had just one earrings. Even not nowadays, when he has two big hoop earrings, like I do and you only see girls wearing. That’s because I once had a patiënt who showed up with these girly hoops. Immediately I felt in love with his hoops and started a discussed with him. About how he feels with his big hoop earrings and what made his making this brave decision. After that I wanted only one thing, my husband should wear them too.
After I told him my dream/wish, we thought about wearing two or just one big hoop earrings. Because family and fiends may be had a problem with his new look. But what did he has to wear in the other ear, if he decided to wear just one big hoop earring. N (big) stud, one, two or three small hoops or no earring at all. And in which ears should he wearing his big hoop earring.

He looked like a pirate, with one big hoop earring. And the stud was almost invisible, with a big hoop in his other ear. And for him it felt strange, wearing two different earrings. Especially because he felt a big hoop earring banging in his right ear and nothing in his left ear.
So after we gave it a try, we decided that it was best that he had two big hoops. He has a strong female side which Í love so much. And two big hoops accentuates his soft, sensible side, without being to feminine. Because hoop earring are unisex earrings, even if they are so big as his hoops.
So since that time he wears two big hoop earrings and I’m very proud of that. Because I have a husband who isn’t afraid to wear the earrings that fit him best.
