① When planting wax trees, try to avoid mixing thick and thin pieces together, because it is not easy to guarantee both at the same time during casting.
② Choose the angle between the wax piece and the wax stick according to the shape of the wax piece to ensure that the molten metal can flow calmly and quickly. Generally, the direction of the wax mold is inclined upward. This angle can be adjusted appropriately according to the casting method, the size of the wax mold and the shape of the wax piece. In centrifugal casting, the wax mold and the wax core are at 45 to 60 degrees, and in vacuum casting, the wax mold and the wax core are at 70 to 80 degrees, which helps to control the solidification direction.
③ Before planting wax trees, the rubber chassis should be weighed. After planting the wax tree, weigh it again. Subtract the results of these two weighings to get the weight of the wax tree. The weight of the wax tree is converted into the weight of the metal according to the ratio of the density of the paraffin wax to the cast metal, and you can estimate how much metal is needed for casting. Generally, silver: wax=10:1; 14K: wax=14:1; 18K: wax=16:1; 22K: wax=18:1.
④ After the wax tree is finished, it is necessary to check whether the wax patterns have been welded firmly. If the welding is not strong, the wax mold will fall off during plaster casting, which will affect the casting process. Check whether the connection between the water line of the wax piece and the wax core is smooth, avoid angles or leave spaces. Finally, check whether there is enough space between the wax molds. If the wax molds are stuck together, they should be separated; if the wax tree has dripping wax, it should be repaired with a blade.
